Callaway Signs Justin Herbert as Latest Golf Ambassador

The LA Chargers quarterback joins a growing roster of celebrities, influencers, and content creators in the golf equipment arena.

The golf equipment endorsement landscape has experienced a significant shift in recent times, with companies focusing more on influencers, content creators, and celebrities who can better connect with everyday golfers. In keeping with this trend, Callaway has expanded its roster of notable names by signing Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert as their latest golf ambassador.

This move comes on the heels of another recent partnership, as Callaway also signed a deal with the popular YouTube channel Good Good, further demonstrating the brand’s commitment to engaging a broader audience.

The 25-year-old NFL star, who was named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2020 and selected for the Pro Bowl in 2021, has inked a multi-year deal with Callaway. As part of the agreement, Herbert will play with Callaway equipment and participate in original content creation while continuing to support junior golf initiatives.

Herbert’s Callaway lineup will feature a full bag of equipment, including the new Paradym wood, Apex TCB irons, Jaws Raw wedges, an Odyssey putter, and a Chrome Soft ball. At 6-foot-6, the talented athlete uses a hybrid and irons that are two inches longer than standard and a 37-inch putter.

Callaway plans to leverage Herbert’s appeal in various ways, such as featuring him in social, digital, and video content across the company’s channels. This includes an upcoming episode of “Range Talk” with Roger Steele. As a passionate golfer, Herbert also hosts the annual Justin Herbert Invitational in Oregon, which benefits Kidsports, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing sports opportunities for all children. Callaway will offer support for this tournament and other junior golf initiatives, solidifying its connection to the next generation of golfers.
